It is difficult to add humor and laughing in a story that includes her diagnosis of having stage 4 ovarian cancer, but Nancy Wilson manages to do it!
We begin early on with a story of Nancy’s Orlando’s relationship with 165 women from many nations, mostly Muslims, convening them into a social “tea,” and concluding with her story of her healing by God from stage 4 ovarian cancer!
It includes a camel driver in Egypt picking her up and sitting her down … hard … on the back of a camel, cracking her ribs! (The camel driver’s name was “Mohamed Jesus.” Nancy noted he symbolism: “His began with Mohammed … and ended with Jesus!”)
I describe her as a local girl who made “good,” (from St. Louis, Missouri) who graduated from Cor Jesu Academy in St. Louis and Missouri State University in Springfield.
Once she received Christ in a very personal way, she was impacted by the influence of “Campus Crusade For Christ” (now “CRU”) … founded by Bill and Vonette Bright, who became mentors of Nancy. The late Bill Bright designated Nancy Wilson as an “International Ambassador of Campus Crusade for Christ!”
