MBC Apologist Rob Phillips re his book: "What Every Christian Should Know About Same-Sex Attraction"

Rob Phillips' book, What Every Christian Should Know About Same-Sex-Attraction: A Biblical Primer for the Local Church, is insightful, compassionate, and indeed Biblical, reflecting the heart of the author.

His helpful website, www.oncedelivered.net, is described as ... Helping Christians "earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints" (Jude 3) ... His current role is serving as “... Communications Team leader for the Missouri Baptist Convention. He also leads the MBC's apologetics ministry, speaking and writing on topics related to defending the Christian faith.”

Rob’s brief commentary titled “Conversation with a Gay Friend,”  found at www.oncedelivered.net, is remarkably helpful as a resource for anyone wanting help in discussing the issue of same-sex attractions.  His books can also be ordered there.

A biblical cornerstone of his worldview is based on Matthew 19:4-6 wherein Jesus defined marriage:

“And he answered and said, ‘Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female’ and said ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife and the two shall become one flesh ...’”

Summarizing what Jesus clearly said: in the first chapter of Genesis is recorded that God,  the Creator, made man and woman.  One man (singular - a male) should leave his parents and be joined to his wife (singular, one woman) ..  and the two, one man and woman shall become one flesh.

Thus Jesus Christ, the Son of God, said that marriage is one man to one woman.
