Longtime friend Lynne Jackson — great-great-granddaughter of Dred and Harriet Scott — founded “The Dred Scott Heritage Foundation.” The timing of the Foundation’s beginning was to commemorate the 150th anniversary on the infamous U. S. Supreme Court Dred Scott Decision.
Much enlightening information is found at www.thedredscottfoundation.org, including facts regarding “… the First Dred Scott Freedom Awards Dinner … “ The website includes a depicting of a remarkable statue of Dred and Harrier Scott located on the southeast corner of the Old Missouri Courthouse, ½ mile west of the St. Louis Arch.
Lynne, as a lifestyle, rejoices in her saving faith resulting from her once receiving Jesus Christ, the Son of God, into her life! The “good work” that God began in her continues to this day … demonstrated by love and good works … and will right on into eternity.
One recipient of a Freedom Award is Mr. Dick Bott, founder and owner of the 100 + stations of Bott Radio Network (www.bottradionetwork.com). Mr. Bott just recently interviewed Lynne Jackson on his “Complete Story” series … which was aired on all 100 of the Bott Radio Network.
