In 1998, a devastating hurricane brought great upheaval to thousands in Honduras, Central America. 10-year-old Karen Banegas (“baa nee’ gas”) of the family of an Assembly of God pastor and his wife, was among them.
In this radio conversation you will hear Karen relive the joy of her receiving her own Operation Christ Child shoebox of love gifts! In 2014 she meets with the Samaritans Purse OCC volunteers, sharing a first-hand report of the impact of the wonderful work of the OCC volunteers.
While this great work is ongoing, St. Louis, MO, City and County OCC Director Vicki Stamps announces that Karen Banegas will be the St. Louis area guest of OCC volunteers on Saturday, September 27, 2014.
